Turismo Cultural, Festa Católica, Patrimônio de Fé e Culto em São Cristóvão-Sergipe-Brasil

Tourism, cultural heritage and religion are revealed as key elements to the pursuit of an activity linked to leisure, education, but also the production and recoverability of cultural property and its manifestations. In this context, this article aims to analyze the Festival of Senhor dos Passos, describing their historical, cultural, tourist, social and artistic values. The methodology for the seizure of cultural elements that are linked to the religious festival, elapses through the literature, documentary and field. At the end it was found that with the cultural elements that make up the framework of the celebration, the old town where the festival takes place, is emerging as a site for the promotion of catholic tourism in the state of Sergipe.
